Structure, order, steady ground
Upright
This is a day for structure. The Emperor is the card of deciding the rule and then keeping it: the time you start, the thing you do first, the boundary you hold. Freedom comes out of the frame, not instead of it.
Reversed
Either the grip is too tight or there is no shape at all. Reversed, The Emperor asks which one it is today. Loosen the rule that stopped serving you, or set the one you have been avoiding.
