What each one actually does

Attraya

  • A feed you swipe, by category: love, money, confidence, healing and more
  • Read out loud, hands free, and it keeps playing with the screen off
  • Home screen and lock screen widgets
  • Write your own affirmations, and stack them into your own mixes
  • Choose how it speaks to you: I am, or You are
  • Amplify repeats one affirmation for you, day and night
  • Reminders at the times you pick
  • Turn any affirmation into an image you can share

ThinkUp-Daily Affirmations app

  • Pick from an expert-approved list, or write your own
  • Record the affirmations in your own voice
  • Add an image that inspires you
  • Put music behind them
  • Notifications, and a daily listening practice
  • 300+ affirmations across 10+ life goals
  • Tracks your practice in Apple Health as Mindful Minutes
Each list is what that app's own App Store description says it does, read on 25 August 2026. Nothing here is a claim about what an app cannot do: a store description is a pitch, not a full feature list.

Pick ThinkUp if

ThinkUp has been on the App Store since 2014, made by Precise Wellness LLC. Its whole idea is that the voice your mind trusts most is your own, so you record the lines yourself and listen back over music.

  • You want to hear affirmations in your own recorded voice.
  • You like listening with music behind the words.
  • You want your practice time logged to Apple Health as mindful minutes.
  • You read and think in English, which is the only language it lists.

Pick Attraya if

Attraya takes the opposite route. There is no recording step, and nothing to set up before it starts working on you.

  • You want the app in your own language. ThinkUp lists English only. Attraya is fully translated into five languages.
  • You do not want to record anything. Open it and the feed is already there.
  • You want the words where your eyes already go, on the home screen and the lock screen.
  • Your iPhone is on iOS 16.4 or 17. ThinkUp asks for iOS 17.6.

Looking for a ThinkUp alternative?

Two reasons come up again and again. The first is language: ThinkUp lists English and nothing else, so if you think in Spanish, Portuguese, French or German, you are practising in your second language. The second is the recording step, which is lovely when you do it and a wall when you do not. Attraya has neither problem. Read how Amplify works if the part you liked about ThinkUp was hearing a line over and over. And if you like writing your own lines rather than recording them, there is a guide to writing affirmations yourself.
